I say to just leave it alone. The fix is most likely gonna be something that will be worse than anyone can imagine. I don't see arena as a problem. Eventually the meta will change or others will outlevel, star, paragon, whatever and beat the inactive players down. Someone that was top 20 last week was just knocked down to like rank 70. I can tell they quit/went inactive. Supreme Arena is seasonal content and will eventually go away. An inactive player will get out-leveled in time. I don't care about Honor Duels cuz it's the most rng nonsense. Are your first 3 artifacts bad? You lost! Did you get a great starting artifact but you keep getting heroes that can't take advantage of it at all? You lost lol! The only reason to care about it is the weekly rewards and now Guild Supremacy.

In regards to PvP yeah, inactive players should be purged. On my server the top 20 consists of people where half already quit...but have Paragons for Scarlita, etc in their defense. So until the meta shifts these players block spots and can't be driven out. I don't really care that much, but for fairness sake inactive people should lose their rank after 30 days latest imo.

its like the final boss you have to beat to get higher rank. i want them to stay as a personal challenge

Is there any ways to register in the CN version? It seems we need an original CN phone number to verify code by SMS and stuff but man this sucks! I hope they will open this server to anyone or at least needing to use VPN tho but if need a CN phone number then it's bad!

My example of a free account: I am a free player with 116 days played. Server 99, AFK stage 1316, season resonance 600. I have never missed an event reward, or check-in. I have one ex+15, four ex+10, three ex+5, nine ex+0. 32 heroes are below M+. 24 heroes below L+. I do not own Talene, Ulmus or Ludovic.

Doesn't seem very f2p friendly. It uses units that are either brand new (and were not recommended during the rate up banner, not that rate up banners are f2p friendly to begin with), or have not been recommended until very recently, so it's unlikely people will have them invested. Would be great for you to do a similar video, but only based on your own wishlist video. Like only use 2-3 best heroes per faction (and preferably no recently released units). Would love to see such a video on an actual free to play account (similar to what you have done with PvP).

how do they stay in their rank if they don't play surely they would just get attacked heaps and lose their ranks that's what happened to the top guy on my server was 1 now 15th

I mean they remove guild master who is inactive for a week, why not do the same to spenders who hasn't played for more than 7 days regardless if they are big spenders or not.

I'm top 7 in arena. And 3 of the top 5 in arena whales quit the game. Wish they can remove inactives

Monthly reset but perhaps minus 50 ranks. To also be fair for higher ranked players to not start completely from zero.

Just get rid of the level cap nonsense. then everyone will just pass inactives. It would also prevent the pointless stage of the season we are in now, where there is not really any benefit to playing the game. you just log in, collect everything and close the game.

At Season start the top whale on my server quit the game. She still i the top 20 in Arena.

In my server 5 top 10 players in arena have quit and because of their paragon cele/hypos its impossible to beat them

For honor duel they could reset the rankings every so often like you said or straight up just don't count the people over x days of inactiveness. For supreme arena could be like if you don't set you defense for x weeks straight it automatically puts them empty so people can pass the inactive player. If then the inactive player comes back he can easily climb the rank again For arena i think it only matters on campion rank where there can only be 200 players max and maybe legendary III for the top 100 that have the fight to climb up to champion, lower tiers doesn't really matter. So they could do a reduction of x points for all in champion and legendary III weekly and if you get to 0 points you automatically get kicked out of champion tier. This way the inactive players will eventually get out of champion and will let other people reach it, but if they comeback they can easily climb back up to champion

Rank decay which gets faster every week with no login for every game mode is the way to go since it is consistent and tested by other competitive games. The problem is for Arena where you have a defense you cant just decay rank because no one of a similar rank to the decaying whale will be able to fight them. Instead they should apply a weekly scaling debuff to the defense so that people naturally overtake these people.

This is a seasonal game. Each season, purge the inactives. If they participated in the season, then that's their rank for the season. For non-seasonal content, just use the same cadance.

Yea, just kick them back out into the placement tier. If they become active again, they can climb back. Right now, they are sucking up resources from active players which hurts the game much more.

I fully understand the reasons not to purge inactives who have had to take a break due to rl. However, I feel the players who have just quit the game at high rankings with strong rosters are the bigger issue here. Just my 2 cents.

Honor duel is the place where some form of rating decay is needed, the reasoning for this is that inactive players in honor duel don't lose any points ever since players are not dirrectly attacked in honor duel. Regular arena its not as relavent they should gradually get pushed down the rankings as people beat them down, the caveat is that due to arena leveling being capped for so long its dificult to use a level advantage to push them down. Finally there supreme arena which as far as i can tell would be completly uneccesary to have a purge (also it would be hard to do as their no rating points just positions). Its not nessecary for a few reasons. 1. If they have quit they cant set their weekly defenses so should be easily able to be beaten. 2.Unlikely regualr arena there arent level capped so you can over level them to beat them. 3. They will naturally get pushed down the rankings as they will gradually get beaten an unlikel normal arena then winning defense doesnt improve there rank. In Short Honor duel definently needs a system in place to decay inactive players, arena likely doesn't but it might help expedite there progress of being demoted. Super arena certainly doesnt as theirs already systems in place to push inactive players down the leader boards, also seasonal reset will boot them out of their rank completely.

Imo I feel it should reset weekly. For example the top 50 or so will all be reset at 1400pts. And re work their way up every week so everyone has a chance.

I disagree purging them. Since they put in real money and that’s what they deserve. Plus, no one can ensure they never come back.

Inactive players for 2-3 weeks should not be in ranking, in both arena and honor duel, bcz in the end guild ranking depends on them too
